Jules has been working as a shamanic practitioner since 2008. Her most prominent and influential inspirations and teachers include Simon Buxton, Naomi Lewis, Kate Shela, Betsy Bergstrom, Chetna Lawless and Sandra Ingerman (practitioner teacher training).
She has also undertaken training in psychodynamic practice at the Oxford Department for continuing education and somatic trauma therapy with Babette Rothschild at the Cambridge Centre for Body Psychotherapy: these disciplines help to inform her practice as a shamanic practitioner – she does not offer psychotherapy or SE.
She is the creator and director of barefootdancing; a weekly meditational dance practice which explores form and formlessness; and she offers short courses in shamanic dance mediumship; movement, trance and visionary experience; and the healing and transformational power of ritual movement.
Jules also offers workshops and one to one tuition in shamanic journeying; bespoke workshops for professional organisations; artists and musicians; and a limited number of informal shamanic apprenticeships.
Jules is a trained teacher, she qualified with a PGCE with arts specialism in 2004 and has worked in education since that time. She has an MA hons in History with specialism in medieval medical history
